Welcome to Dashboardx Designer – the intuitive, no-code platform that transforms spreadsheet data into professional dashboards. This overview will introduce you to the core concepts and capabilities of our application.

What is Dashboardx Designer?

Dashboardx Designer is a desktop application that bridges the gap between spreadsheet data and visual analytics. It is built around the spreadsheet skills you already have: anyone comfortable with a basic spreadsheet can put together a sophisticated, interactive dashboard without writing a single line of code.

What's new in v2.0.0

This release brings AI to the Designer for the first time — agents are not an assistant on the side, they are part of the workflow itself:

• Agent Perspective and Agent Dock — a full-screen agent workspace, plus the same conversation docked beside your spreadsheet or canvas; both share one session. See Agent Perspective Overview.
• Six agents working as a team — the Dashboard Master plans and delegates, the Data Analyst and Visualization Professor build, the Dashboard Stylist sets the look, and two reviewers check the numbers and the layout before anything is called finished. Plan Mode proposes the design for your approval, and the thinking trace shows where each decision came from.
• Approvals you control — agents ask before writing to your files, delete-class operations always ask, and you can revoke a grant at any time. See Settings → Permissions.
• Datasets and calculation — imports and recalculation run off the interface, datasets fill in as they load, field bindings survive renames, and you can create a dataset from an array formula's spilled results. See Datasets That Load in the Background.
• Slice semantics corrected — slice areas belong to their widget and should be referenced rather than written into; a failed binding is reported clearly instead of silently clearing it. See Data Slice.
• Widgets and interface — new KPI cards and map charts that pick a basemap from your data, API keys held in the system secure store, and six interface languages. See Widgets and Settings → Providers.

Core Architecture

Dashboardx Designer is built around three perspectives that carry you through the work, plus a way to show the result:

1. Data Perspective

The spreadsheet-like interface where you import, clean, and prepare your data. Maintain data integrity while exploring relationships between datasets.

2. Design Perspective

The canvas where you arrange widgets and create your dashboard layout. Drag-and-drop components with precision guides for professional arrangements.

3. Agent Perspective

The workspace where you describe the dashboard you want instead of assembling it by hand. Agents read your data, choose the charts, lay out the canvas, and review their own work — and you approve anything that changes your files. The Agent Dock keeps the same conversation beside your spreadsheet and canvas, and Plan Mode agrees the design before anything is built.

Presenting the result

Click Present and the dashboard opens in your browser, served from your own machine, and follows your edits live. Viewers can click charts and drive filters without touching your design, and nobody needs the Designer installed. See Presenting a Dashboard.

• No Cloud Storage: we have no servers that receive your content
• No Data Collection: We don't collect, use, store, or access your personal data
